Locomotion by Jacqueline Woodson

Lonnie Collins Motion faces a life where his parents died in a fire when he was seven.  Lonnie expresses his feelings with poetry.  You can read his poems from start to finish.  I recommend this book because this is all poetry.  People who love poetry are at home with this book.  Also, you can see a different life through Lonnie – a life of a foster mom, school, and no parents.
